Five Town CTC Trains Shelter Island, NY Group

Dalene Dutton, Executive Director of Five Town Communities That Care, traveled to Shelter Island, New York to provide training to eight members of the small island community who will be delivering Guiding Good Choices parent workshops after the holidays.  During the two-day training attendees experienced the curriculum as parents, then reviewed materials and theories behind the program.

Dutton has facilitated Guiding Good Choices workshops for parents and was certified by developers of the program to train workshop facilitators in the fall of 2005.  She had trained workshop facilitators in Orono and the midcoast area prior to the trip to Shelter Island.
