Fond Farewell to Halls

Chris and Tarah Hall have been familiar faces to local youth for more than two years now, but you won’t see them around the Teen Center or the STAR program anymore!  The couple are headed off to hike the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine before leaving to serve in the Peace Corps.  Chris Hall, a Nebraska native, became familiar with the Five Town Community when serving as part of an AmeriCorps*NCCC team that assisted Five Town Communities That Care in 2005.  Chris served an additional year in AmeriCorps as a team leader, where he met Tarah, also in her second year of service.  After leaving AmeriCorps, the couple moved to the midcoast and Chris began volunteering his time as a Five Town CTC Board member and started working at the Teen Center.  Soon after, Tarah joined the Five Town CTC staff as part of the STAR team, and quickly was promoted to head up the program.  The couple will be sorely missed, but they promise to come back for a visit when they finish up their hike of the AT in August!
